Planned Giving

The American Jewish Committee is grateful to the hundreds of people who have included AJC in their estate plans and become members of The Horizon Society, which recognizes their thoughtfulness and vision. Planned gifts ensure that the values and traditions that are most important to you will be preserved for generations to come.

You can become a member of The Horizon Society, and secure AJC’s future, by

  • Making a bequest to AJC in your will or living trust;
  • Making a gift to AJC and receiving an income for life through a gift annuity or remainder trust;
  • Making a gift to AJC first, then to your family, reducing transfer tax costs;
  • Making a gift to AJC of life insurance or retirement assets.

Through a planned gift you can expect to receive some or all of the following benefits:

  • Reduced income taxes;
  • Avoided capital gain taxes;
  • Increased lifetime income;
  • Reduced federal estate taxes and estate settlement costs;
  • Received worry-free asset management.

For more information, or if you have already included AJC in your estate plans and would like to enroll in The Horizon Society and receive our thanks, please contact Robin Philips at philipsr@ajc.org or 212-891-1371.

***For a gift of $10,000 or more you will be automatically enrolled in AJC's honorary giving society, The National Leadership Council, which entitles you to special benefits and exclusive invitations throughout the year.
