About Us

AJC Advances Los Angeles

"The Los Angeles Office is the brightest star in the AJC constellation"

- David Harris, AJC Executive Director

AJC's Los Angeles Office (AJC LA) was chartered in 1945 by a "who's who" of prominent individuals from the local Jewish community who saw a need to advance inter-ethnic, international and inter-religious relations between Jews and diverse communities. Since our founding, the AJC LA has become the preeminent voice of the Jewish community by building bridges through inter-group relations and advancing the issues that affect the future of Los Angeles and the region. AJC LA works to achieve a dynamic balance between public advocacy and private diplomacy through effective campaigns and educational programs focused on areas of national and international concern.
