4th Annual Fiesta Sukkot Focuses on Immigration Reform

AJC Cleveland Board Member and President of the American IMmigration Lawyers Association David Leopold, United States House of Representatives Member Judy Chu, and 4th Annual Fiesta Sukkot Chair and AJC Board Member Marcie Goldstein AJC|LA Assistant Director of Interreligious and Intergroup Affairs Rabbi Randy Brown teaches the honored guests about the ritual of Sukkot in the Sukkah.

AJC’s 4th Annual Fiesta Sukkot on Sunday, September 19th brought together over 100 Jewish and Latino leadership from across Southern California for an in-depth discussion on the need for immigration reform in our country. AJC Board Member and event chair Marcie Goldstein effectively moderated an informative panel discussion between David Leopold, National President of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, leading advocate on comprehensive immigration reform and AJC Cleveland Board Member ,and Congresswoman Judy Chu. Dozens of attendees sent letters to California's Senators Barbara Boxer and Daine Feinstein to request their support for DREAM Act legislation.
