AJC hosted its Annual Chanukah Party in Pacific Palisades at Temple Kehillat Israel thanks to the generosity of Marty Caan and Carol Petschek. Los Angeles's diplomatic corp, elected leaders, community leaders, and clergy joined AJC members for latkes, dreidel, and drinks. Representatives from each of these communities were invited to light the Chanukah menorah in honor of their relationship with AJC and the important work that we do together.The final candles were lit by Associate Director Saundra Mandel and Regional Director Seth Brysk for those who are unable to light for themselves including IDF officer Gilad Shalit, still held captive by Hamas, and the seven Baha'i leaders being held in prison in Iran for their religious believes.
